Jump can use VMC and RDC protocols (not sure that Screens supports both) which may offer more options for some things. It can also use VNC as well and may have more options that I just don’t know about yet. I read that Screens can use the native Mac remote desktop, which seems to have many advantages for some folks. If I can do that, I’ll be able to give you a better report on which one works best.

I currently have to finish figuring out how to setup a VNC server on my Linux box in order to be able to do so and I’ve almost got that working - though I’ve had to post here and on other forums for help getting that figured out. I just purchased Screens today and hope to try it out soon. This doesn’t happen all that often but it’s happened multiple times. I do have it lock up or something similar periodically but switching to Teamviewer long enough to close the Anydesk window then allows me to restart Anydesk which has worked quite well. In the meantime, I’ve use Anydesk which is MUCH better than Teamviewer. I honestly cannot find anything good to say, even for free. It’s been like this for months now and they have made no efforts as far as I can see to fix these problems - and it’s literally unusable. Also, it’s touch/mouse interface just.sucks completely.

Now, when I try to change it it briefly goes to the correct video view (should be 1080p or more) then immediately switches back to such a low video resolution that I can only see a small portion of the screen with no way to scroll around. I would have to manually go in and change it each time, which was a pain. Secondly, when using it on Linux it NEVER remembers the correct aspect ratio and defaults to a much lower res. It’s decided for one thing, that I’m “commercial use” which I’m legitimately not. I used to use Teamviewer exclusively but it’s become completely unusable especially on Linux. If you’re using it on Mac, Screens should be flawless from what I’ve heard but I have no Mac to try it myself yet. If you’re using Jump for Windows or Mac, it will will be easy peasy. I’ve always heard great things about the company and their support, though I’ve not had much need for contacting them for help. Much faster, more fluid, and infinitely better touch interface/mouse. I’ve used it extensively when connecting to Windows and it BLOWS away Teamviewer. It is a complete offline setup of Jump Desktop for macOS with a single click download link.I actually have both now - I owned Jump back when I was on Android and grabbed the iOS version on a good sale since it was an easy place to start.
